- For registering your mobile device in PTA, you have to dial *8484# in your mobile phone.
- Different options will appear on your screen, press 1 for mobile registration.
- You will be asked about the nationality, press 1 if you are Pakistani national and press 2 if you are foreigner.
- Enter CNIC number and mobile IMEI, to complete this registration process.

PTA has already recommended people to register their cellphones with the organisation. If you register your phone with PTA, you will not receive notifications from PTA asking you to do so, and your phone will not be prohibited.
The PTA began registering mobile phones so that they could keep track of them. Pakistan imports the majority of its mobile gadgets. To maintain track of these phones and prevent mobile phone smuggling in Pakistan, the PTA implemented a mobile phone registration system.
If you’re buying a new phone, look for one with a PTA approval stamp on the box.
If you are returning to Pakistan from abroad, PTA permits you to register one gadget for free. If you have more than one, you must register all of them.
